Facilities

LIBRARY

Library is established with high standard reference books, variety of International and National Journals. Library is having 2534 reference books for various departments and there are more than 1885 titles of books and around 743 back volumes. Also, library is having regular subscription for 12 international and 54 National Journals. Separate section is available for Dailies and Magazines, which are more than 26 in number.

                          

In addition, New editions of all reference books and other important titles are bought periodically. Also, several other International and National journals are sanctioned for subscription for the development of library.

COMPUTER CENTRE

A well equipped Computer Centre running in our college. This centre providing services and need based training to the non-teaching staff and students. This kind of service enables them to provide a Quality service within a time. Internet services provided for both UG and PG students availing the facility for their literature survey, innovative research and updating their knowledge. Our staff members also availing this facility for effective external communication to keep abreast of the latest development. Both students and staff shown a keen interest in these programmes and the centre is always filled with computer enthusiastic personnels.

TRAINING AND PLACEMENT

Training and Placement cell of our institution is engaged in arranging Career guidance programmes like,

  1. Arranging Guest lecturers by inviting emminent scholars from various institutions/industries/hospitals
  2. Arranging Training Programme for students in various hospitals / industries
  3. Arranging Educational Tours
  4. Encouraging the students to participate and present their research findings in various National /International Conference/Symposium /Seminar
  5. Arranging Campus Interviews for final year students of B.Pharm. and M.Pharm. for Placement in various industries/ hospitals/ academic institutions

ISTE (INDIAN SOCIETY FOR TECHNICAL EDUCATION)

Institution have ISTE (Indian Local Chapter). ISTE Local Chapter organize Seminars, Workshops and Short Term Training Programme (STTP) for the benefits of students and staff members periodically.

HOSTEL

Hostel facility is available for Girl students within the college campus. Admission to the hostel will be strictly restricted to actual accommodation available. The room rent and the establishment charge will be at the rate fixed from time to time.

COUNSELLING

Counselling for students is conducted in order to identify and solve their academic and non-academic problems at regular intervals.

OTHER AMENITIES

Periyar pharma bulletin

House Journal of our Institution published for every six months once, high lights the Institutional Quality circle activities

Personality development programme

Inter Personal Development programme including leadership development and time management will be arranged for students either inside or outside the campus at regular intervals of time

Alumini association

The association was started in the year 1998. Around 400 members registered in the association periodically get together and regular communications to its members.

National serive scheme (N.S.S)

One unit of 100 volunteers affiliated to the Tamilnadu Dr.M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai functions at our Institute since 1995. students are actively involving themselves in National Service Scheme activities like Free Medical Camp, National Pulse Polio Immunization programme and Tree Plantations.

                          

Journal club

To familiarize the current technology, a journal club has been constituted once in a month. The staff members are encouraged to update their knowledge by presenting / discussing about the conferences, QIP, Symposium and Seminars. This enables the staff members to interact with various Department and building a harmonius relationship.

Periyar Forum

Apart from the academic activities, the students and staff members are involved in social activities through “Periyar forum”. Periyar Forum was started in December 2002 presides and inaugurated by Manamigu Durai Chakravarthi erst while Deputy General Secretary, Dravidar Kazhagam.

Our Staff members and students participate in the programme once in a month to give importance to the thoughts of Thanthai Periyar.

Students are actively participating and organizing the programme effectively. The Periyar Forum is functioning actively and enthusiastically in our college.
